For those of you that have been visiting often, you know that I am quite the avid foodie. On the weekends, I love to cook and try out new recipes. During the week, not so much! With so much going on, I feel like we are always on the run during the weekdays. However, we are big believers in family meals. I am also pretty particular about the types of food that I feed my family. Meal planning for working parents can be quite the challenge. I am so glad that Lauren reached out to me regarding her Wildtree business. I absolutely love their products and their workshop kits make meal planning a breeze.
According to their site, they have very high standards. “Wildtree was founded on the premise that food should be safe, natural, and easy to prepare – all at the same time. Instead of using MSG, GMOs, or artificial food dyes, Wildtree products are made from the finest natural and organic ingredients available. Instead of “good for you” foods with all the flavor of sawdust, Wildtree products are taste-tested winners. Instead of lengthy, complicated, time-consuming recipes, Wildtree products enable you to create spectacular, great-tasting dishes with just three or four ingredients.” It can be a challenge to find quick and easy meals that do not contain a host of nasty ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised when I researched Wildtree and I knew that I needed to give it a try.
The planning process was so simple! We tried out the Family Favorites kit and it was a good choice for the picky eaters in my family. The kit came with an envelope that included recipe cards and an overview of what the prep should look like. All I needed to do was add the indicated ingredients to a freezer bag and it was good to go. The kit also came with the full recipe and labels for the storage bags. As I am typing up with post, I am realizing that I probably should have taken more pictures! Trust me, this was something that even my husband could manage and he is not very skilled in the cooking department.
I prepped everything on Sunday and put in the freezer for the upcoming weeks. I ended up just making five meals at a time, due to lack of freezer space. One of these days I will get around to buying an extra freezer for the garage. I have only had that on the wish list for 10 years now! I pulled out the meal that I was going to make the next day the night before. When I got home from work, getting a healthy and tasty meal on the table was quick and easy.
The meal kit included the spices, oils and dressing for ten different meals. While they were all tasty, our favorite were the Tuscan Spaghetti & Meatballs and the Simple Family Pot Roast. My son proclaimed the meatballs as the best he had ever had and that says a lot coming from that kid! I think the reason they were so tasty was because of the Tuscany Bread Dipper Herb Blend. That stuff is amazing and I will make sure I always have some in the pantry from now on.
The kit also included the recipes for the following:
Southwest Chicken Casserole
Wicked Memphis Pulled Pork
Rosemary Garlic Chicken with Vegetable Orzo
Asian Glazed Chicken
Savory Homestyle Chili
Wicked Good Salmon
Rosemary Garlic Steak Tips with Roasted Vegetables
Everything was really good and I would definitely purchase the kit again. However, I am looking forward to trying some of their other products as well. I saw a pumpkin pancake mix on their site. Yum!!!
I am thankful that Lauren introduced me to Wildtree and their amazing products. Go check them out. You won’t regret it!
